Primacy Educational Philosophy

The Primacy Collegiate Academy believes firmly that each student can learn and that each student deserves the chance to receive a high quality Christian education.  Primacy learning support services offers students an individualized approach to education monitored by a learning support teacher.  The learning support teacher carries a maximum caseload of 5 students.  The learning support teacher provides general academic support to assist students with mastery of content information, time management, organization, and study skill strategies.  The intention of learning support is to improve a student’s ability to be an independent learner.

Primacy Learning Support Goals:

The goal of Primacy Learning Support is to assist students at all grade levels to maintain and develop as a successful and independent learner with positive self-advocacy skills.  Primacy Learning Support is a referral program.  Referral is made by a staff member or parent for the additional support.  Individualized goals and strategies will be developed to assist the student in meeting his/her potential.  No grades are assigned by the learning support teacher.  An additional fee per semester is charged.
